About the event
The Rev. Jay Barnes and Kathy Pena are leading a study of Jerry Webber’s "Spiritual Foundations: Uncovering Your Life in God." Webber’s purpose for writing the study guide is "to introduce the spiritual journey as a way of being connected to God that makes a difference in all of life." The group will study the practices involved in spiritual formation including the types of prayer used in the journey of faith. There will be practices for identifying the false self and uncovering the true self, exploring the importance of silence and solitude, discovering original purpose, and living the spiritual life in community.
Meeting every Monday September 28, 2026 - March 8, 2027 (No classes from November 23 - January 18; weekly classes resume January 25.). The group will meet in room 1003 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. Cost is $15; limited to 12 people.
