About the event
It’s time for Project Transformation! Every summer we host a literacy summer camp for kids in our community who need some extra help with reading. This is a big effort that takes hundreds of volunteers. We need people to provide meals, read with the students, support the interns, and much more. If you would like to help, email tina@fumcgt.org.
Serve as Reading Buddy or Reader Tester
Reading Buddies will be needed Monday through Thursday from about 10:00 AM-Noon. Readers can sign up for whatever days work for them. Reading will begin June 16 and end July 23. Testers are needed for June 5 and afternoons on June 9, 10, and 11. They will be needed for post-testing July 16, 17, 21, and 22 in the morning. Volunteers will register at https://www.givepulse.com/event/598767 and there is a training video for both reading buddies and testers.
Ministry Safe must be completed every two years.…
