Civil Rights Trip Preview

In the fall of 2023, The Academy for Spiritual Formation (a division of the Upper Room) in Nashville, TN conducted its first Civil Rights Pilgrimage. Twenty-eight individuals from various denominations across the country were selected to attend, and among them were Scott and Judy Finnell. Their Pilgrimage visited historically significant civil rights sites in Memphis, Nashville, Atlanta, Aniston, Birmingham, Montgomery and Selma. Scott will give a brief presentation on January 8 for the monthly M&M gathering, and on January 19, from 3:00-5:00 in the MCMC, Scott and Judy will present some highlights of their trip as our church prepares to conduct its own Civil Rights Tour in April. Please plan to attend one or both presentations and prayerfully consider attending FUMC’s Micah Workers Civil Rights Tour in April.
