We are Hiring an Event Administrator

Part time (25 hours/week) hybrid remote position

This position has a flexible work schedule to manage events throughout the week and possibly on weekends, with various hours, much of which can be completed remotely. 

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with staff to streamline appropriate processes and ensures events are managed effectively from inception to completion.

  • Works closely with the different ministries (especially Youth, Children and Seniors) to provide input or assistance launching their events.

  • Initiates and moderates sign-ups for church and ministry events.

  • Initiates and track ministry staff and pre-school staff completion of mandatory online trainings (Ministry Safe) as well as the related calls, emails, reference checks and annual renewals.

  • Ensures volunteer screening processes are followed.

  • Administration of occasional special events (including weddings and funerals).

  • Oversees systems for volunteer sign-up and volunteer recognition.

  • Provide event support for youth, children and senior adult ministries, including purchasing.

  • Assists in collaborating with group leaders to coordinate church and/or school events, ensuring that all events are calendared.

  • Attends weekly staff meetings on Tuesday mornings in person.

  • Maintains positive relationships with volunteers and group leaders.

 

Skills and abilities:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher)

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task

  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written

  • Strong organizational and planning skills

  • Experience with SignUp Genius, JotForm and/or Realm is a plus but not required.

  • Event planning and project management experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently and solve problems creatively

  • Ability to recruit volunteers and lead individuals/teams

  • Able to work varied shifts, based on scheduled events
