First United Methodist Church is known as a historic downtown church and we have many opportunities to serve our members, guests and community with our lovely facilities. In addition to our regular worship services we also hold wedding and funeral services. We also have a library with diverse offerings across spiritual and secular reading. And for interment, we offer a restful columbarium of grace.
We have many weekly ministry meetings related to building trust-based relationships with our community and neighbors such as Helping Hands Tutoring, English-As-a-Second-Language classes, Vacation Bible School, The Learning Tree Preschool and many others. In fact, we host over 300 meetings each month, and many of them are for community organizations outside the church. These include but are not limited to the Georgetown Friday Lunch Rotary Club, Troop #151 of the Boy Scouts of America, Cub Scout Pack 151, Georgetown Assistance League, WBCO Headstart Training, Williamson County Bee Keepers Association, Adult open-gym basketball, NA and Habitat for Humanity.
