Our life together naturally involves celebrations of transition like graduation, marriage, starting a family, empty nests, retirement or aging. It also involves the pain associated with grief, divorce, loss of jobs or addiction. Groups are ongoing or formed as needed to help people with these changes in their lives as they grow into God's plan for their new realities.
Together Gathered in Faith - Mom's Accountability Group
God loves you and claims you (yes, you too mom!) TGIF is an accountability group for moms who want to grow spiritually in their relationship with God and one another. They grow in God's grace through study, prayer and conversation with other moms, holding each other accountable to building and strengthening their relationship with God. For information, contact Jennifer Lake.
Growing through Grief
Consider participating in this 6-week support group for those who are experiencing grief or loss. Additional groups form throughout the year as needed. For information please contact Mary at 512.931.2234.
PALS - Patience and Loving Support
Respite for the caregivers for Alzheimer's patients. Our helpers spend four hours of fellowship, devotional time, song, crafts, games and other activities so caregivers of Alzheimer's patients may have a weekly time for themselves to run errands, relax and wind down. Groups gather Mondays at 10am. For information, please contact Barb Twyford at 512.863.3935.
Celebrate Calm for Parents
Celebrate Calm has been developed by Behavioral Consultant Kirk Martin from his experience leading workshops with teachers, parents, and children around the U.S. Using DVDs from his workshops, parents can expect to learn healthy techniques for dealing with the power struggles parents have with their children, from early childhood through their teen years. Six week classes are offered at various times during the school year. For information, contact Dotty Culig, Director of Children's Ministry.
