Women's Ministries

All women are invited to be part of the exciting Women's Ministry at FUMC. We believe that women joined together in opportunities of fun, fellowship, spiritual growth and missions can change the world.

There are many opportunities for women to care for themselves, each other and reach out to other women in our local community and around the world through mission projects. Contact Rev. Brenda Adkins for more information.

United Methodist Women

There are over a million women in United Methodist Women all over the world. FUMC has 6 active groups, called circles, which meet every month. Each woman in UMW strives to fulfill the purpose of UMW which is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ; to develop creative supportive fellowship; and to participate in missions, locally and globally. Join a circle for fun, fellowship and spiritual development. Circle Meeting Information.

UMW General Meetings: There are four gatherings each year of the six circles of UMW. These gatherings of UMW women invite all the women of the church who are interested in joining together for: a Celebration of the Christian Home in April; a Birthday Party in July; a Book Review in October; and a Christmas Tea in December.

Commission on the Status and Role of Women
(COSROW)

COSROW supports women leadership in the church as advocates, monitors and catalyst for change. The members of COSROW plan the annual Women's Retreat which is the highlight of the year. Women of the church are invited to join COSROW at any time. Contact Rev. Brenda Adkins for more information.

Women's Small Groups

Women’s bible studies and spiritual growth studies are available throughout the year. There are short and long term studies during the daytime and evenings. We invite you to draw closer to God and discern God's will for your life through Bible studies and spiritual growth studies.

Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)

MOPS is a Christian-based, supportive and educational group designed to meet the needs of every type of mother raising preschool aged children. We meet the first and third Fridays of the month (September through May) from 9:30am - 12:00pm. Children attend the Moppets childcare program during the meetings. If you are interested in volunteering with the Moppets program, please let us know. For more information, please contact: Kate Rodriguez or Bridget Chapman.
