The Learning Tree is the preschool at First United Methodist Church. The purpose of the Learning Tree is to provide children, 5 months to 4 years, with an atmosphere of Christian love conducive to creative play and exploration of a child's world.
We hope the experiences at The Learning Tree, in conjunction with experiences at home, will enable children to have a positive self-concept, to be accepting of others, to learn to express themselves in many ways, to be curious, imaginative and responsible, to want to learn, to enjoy play, to feel loved and to feel secure.
We offer this program out of our basic belief that God is a God of love and that children should have the opportunity to experience that love through relationships with others in a positive learning environment.
